7 Things about Android Jelly Bean

android jelly bean

The latest Operating software from Google confectionary –  Jelly Bean is ready to tingle the taste buds of Android lovers. And why not, it is smoother and slicker than any Android version yet.

But what this new yummy jelly bean has in store, this is indeed the big question. And We have the answers!

Here is the Big seven list about all that's new and interesting about Jelly Bean-

1. Smoother than ever

The lags of Android will lag behind, as the Project Butter (Google's name for Jelly Bean) aims to do away with Android lag for good by running operational tasks simultaneously, shaving precious milliseconds off transitions and launches.

2. Innovative interface

Jelly Bean’s also bringing some new tricks to the interface party, not least the ability to resize widgets to taste, automating the flow of other app icons on the same screen.

3. Commanded by Voice

And there’s bad news for SwiftKey – Google’s improved the keyboard and shrunk its voice database so that you can use voice typing even when there’s no data connection (US English only).

4. New camera app

Jelly Bean’s bringing instant picture reviewing to its camera app, too, and introducing Bluetooth pairing via Android Beam.

5. Answer to Apple

And it’s answering Apple’s Notification Centre with live notifications that allow you to make phone calls, read emails, view (and share) pictures and respond to calendar invites without leaving the notifications pull-down. You’ll also be able to collapse and expand notification panels with a two-finger swipe.

6. Searching is cool

Search has been rewritten from the ground up to incorporate Knowledge Graph. It also uses the same data to respond to voice searches with voice answers. Very, very cool (and a bit scary).

7. The big date

Jelly Bean’s going to be heading to core devices (Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Motorola Xoom and Nexus S) in mid-July (that’s only a few weeks away), and it’s also offering up a PDK (product development kit) for hardware manufacturers, so hopefully the rest of us won’t have to wait too long for our upgrades.

Spray-on batteries will make your phone super thin

In the future you won't be buying your batteries in a blister pack, but as something you might apply to real blisters – a spray.
Yep, Rice University researchers have developed a spray-on battery, made of five layers of specially-formulated paint. The layers – two current collectors, a cathode, an anode and a polymer separator – were sprayed onto normal bathroom tiles, and generated enough juice to power a small array of LEDs, using 2.4 volts, for six hours. After 60 charge and discharge cycles the batteries still retained most of their capacity.
The innovation could make for even thinner gadgets – from mobile phones to TVs. And if, in the future, you want to wall mount your new OLED screen without wires, just spray the power source onto the wall and you’re good to go (or, more likely, buy some pre-sprayed battery tiles). Check out the below video to see how this revolutionary discovery works right now.

2012: U-Transfer USB

The U Transfer lets you transfer files between USB sticks without the need of a PC. The USB drives slot together to transfer information, and the small touch screen on the device itself would presumably be used to select files and folders to trade between the memory sticks.
