The McLaren MP4-12C Spider...with the power to rocket it to 204 mph and a chopped off head.

The Spider will be capable of 196mph with its innovative retractable hard-top roof down. 

The car is powered by the same 3.8-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine as the coupé, combining 616bhp with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and rear-wheel drive. The Spider also uses the carbon-fibre Monocell chassis from the coupé, which McLaren says required no extra strengthening. 

However there is a catch, the Spider can notch up the astonishing top speed of 204 mph only whe the roof is up, with roofs down it can clock the top speed of 196 mph. 

But you dont need to compromise on the audio with roofs up or down. The Spider include an audio system that adjusts its volume and tone according to whether the roof is up or down, and a revised climate control system that also adjusts to compensate for the outside elements
