Jessica Ennis wins Gold in Heptathlon

The British champ and strong contender of winning the Heptathlon event, Jessica Ennis lived up to the expectations. Ennis won the final event of Heptathlon, the 800m race with good timing of 2 min.08 secs.

She aimed to break the 7,000 mark in this Olympics, but could not do so.

Heptathlon is one of the toughest test of skill, power & stamina... women must complete the 100-meter hurdles, high jump, shot-put and 200-meter sprint on the first day, and the long jump, javelin throw and 800-meter run on the next day.

The 26-year-old was in superb form having set a world mark of 12.54 for the 100 hurdles in the heptathlon and a personal best in the 200 on her way to her highest ever day-one total on Friday.

Ennis followed that up on the second day of competition with a good long jump of 6.48 metres and then, with perfect timing, threw a personal best of 47.49 in her weakest event, the javelin.
